Experience must-seen event series of Australian wines this May

This May, DaLoc is honored to welcome one of the most experienced winemaker in Barossa Mr Stuart Blackwell from St Hallett winery. He will present at our exclusive events in all regions to introduce their excellent wines.
St Hallet was established in 1944 (73th anniversary), situated in the heart of Barossa, Australia’s most famous wine appellation. St Hallett is reknown for producing benchmark wines of the region.
Stuart Blackwell’s winemaking career spans four decades. Having first dabbled in winemaking in Australia’s McLaren Vale, Stuart was lured to St Hallett in the Barossa in 1972.
As Senior Winemaker of St Hallett, Stuart has developed a deep understanding of the rich tapestry of site and climatic variances in the Barossa and an appreciation of the importance of both dedicated growers and ‘old wine’ Shiraz.
A big believer in enjoyment and armed with a ‘can do’ attitude Stuart’s energy is contagious. Amongst the small winery crew he has imbued a warmth, honesty and integrity which is simply the way of life at St Hallett.
The St Hallett story goes back to 1912 when a young third generation “Barossan”, Carl Richard Lindner, purchased a piece of land in the Hallett Valley within the Barossa region. St Hallett continues to have strong and enduring relationships with passionate growers, allowing the brand access to some of the most prestigious vineyards in the Barossa. From the honesty of Faith to the majesty of Old Block, Shiraz forms the core of the St Hallett range.
